James Bay - Us (lyrics) -

Maya finally looked up. Her eyes were glassy, reflecting the flickering "Open" sign. "We were so sure then."

He reached across the table, his fingers brushing hers. "I saw a picture today," he said. "From that first summer in the van. We didn't have a cent, but we had that view of the coast." James Bay - Us (Lyrics)

Outside, the rain began to slick the pavement, but inside the booth, the air felt a little lighter. They weren't just surviving the noise anymore; they were finding the melody again. Maya finally looked up

The neon hum of the diner felt like a physical weight. Across the vinyl booth, Maya was tracing the rim of her coffee cup, her eyes fixed on anything but Leo. "I saw a picture today," he said

"We’re just tired," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the jukebox. "It’s not broken, Leo. It’s just heavy."

"I’m still sure," Leo said, his grip tightening. "The world is louder now, and it’s trying to tell us we’ve run out of road. But I don't believe in the world. I believe in us ."
